Our Story

1940’s Brewing Company is deeply rooted in brewing tradition. Owner Charles Becker choose the name to pay homage to his father, who graduated brewing academy in the year 1940 before beginning his long career of brewing. With a family legacy of brewing and dedication to quality beer, 1940’s Brewing Company got its start in 2014.

Brewer Jon Brengel joined Charlie to perfect the breweries recipes and 1940’s hit its stride. Today you can visit the 1940’s brewing facility and tasting room on Lincoln Avenue in Holbrook New York to try a pint in our growing arsenal of delicious brews.

Our Beer

Priding ourselves on quality and variety, our lineup of fresh beer is brewed on our 10 barrel brewhouse attached to our Holbrook tasting room. While brewing up a wide variety of styles - we never sacrifice flavor or quality ingredients. From our pale ales, german wheat beers, barrel aged stouts, and to a diverse selection of IPAs (and everything in between) we take pride in our work. Each batch of 1940’s Brewing Company beer is brewed by brewmaster Jon Brengel, meticulously checked, and served with love. We wouldn’t serve you a pint of beer we wouldn’t drink ourselves. From the brewhouse our beer is either served a mere few steps away in our tasting room, canned straight from the tank, or hand delivered by us to a select few bars, restaurants, and your local beer distributors.
